Matthew 10:39 (NKJV) says “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.” If a person is willing to die to the self-life, they will find the abundant life. The flesh must die. The spirit must take over in order to live a life of victory. A short but powerful prayer to pray would be something like this – “Lord, crucify my flesh.” Crucifixion involves pain and suffering. Christ suffered but in the end, then came Easter Sunday. He arose! Suffering & pain is not the end of the story for a true believer in Christ. Joy is the end of the story! (JOY – Jesus, Others, Yourself). True joy in life is found along the pathway of suffering for Him and with Him. HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU! (Hebrews 13:5b)
