Jan 23, 2017 “God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him”…Isaiah 64:4B

No one likes to wait. But in the life of a christian – waiting serves a purpose. God builds faith, endurance, and patience. The waiting period is often times a season where God is getting things ready to answer a special prayer request. He is arranging the details and working out His best in the life of His child.

It takes faith to wait. Waiting also can be a form of long-suffering.

Psalm 27:14 (NKJ) says this:  Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”  Notice the word “wait” twice.

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) says this:

“But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.”

There are special blessings for those willing to wait on the Lord.

In my book I share how I waited on God for 37 years! I trusted Him the best I knew with a “thorn in my flesh” and He blessed me by removing it after waiting a long time! Praise to God forever!

In my book I also share how I waited a decade in the Refiner’s Fire – actually a total of 11 years – and Jesus showed up in “Furnace of Affliction” – just when I needed Him too! It was a long pain trial. God was faithful! His amazing grace carried me all the way through the “fire, the furnace”.

If you are saved and waiting on God – know this. He sees every detail of your life. He will answer at just the right time. His time.

If you are not saved, call on His name today! Romans 10:13 (NKJ) says this “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” He wants to forgive you of all your sin and take you to heaven!
