Nobody likes to wait, do they? Waiting can be a form of long suffering. Suffering makes us more like His Son. So waiting can actually be good. It builds patience and endurance. God knows each of us. He knows it is not easy to wait. Especially when we are waiting for something good. Look at parents expecting. They have to wait 9 months as God gets the child ready to enter this journey call life. Andrew Murray, one of my favorite authors, says this about waiting for a special request – “Be assured that if God waits longer than you could wish, it is only to make the blessing doubly precious.” Yes, the bible says “wait on the Lord.” Trust, believe, endure, have faith, and wait!
